The productronica celebrates 50 years and LPKF celebrates with it
LPKF Laser & Electronics will showcase its latest laser technologies for the electronics industry at productronica 2025 (Nov 18–21, Munich, booth 305, hall B2) – spanning prototyping, high-performance depaneling, laser plastic welding, and advanced packaging.
"We have been represented at productronica since the early years of our almost 50-year company history. The trade fair offers us the ideal platform to present our innovative laser technologies along the entire electronics value chain to a broad audience," explains Dr. Klaus Fiedler, CEO of LPKF and also advisory board member of productronica.
The spotlight is on two world premieres: the CuttingMaster 2246 and CuttingMaster 2240 Cx. The CuttingMaster 2246 sets new benchmarks with integrated Tensor technology, SMEMA, HERMES, and OPC UA protocol support, and full Industry 4.0 preparedness. The fully automated CuttingMaster 2240 Cx, first live in the Fraunhofer IZM line, enables cost-effective mass production of rigid PCBs without workpiece carriers.
ProtoLaser, LPKF's prototyping system family, celebrates its 25th anniversary. Since 2000, it has enabled highly precise PCB laser structuring – today achieving feature widths down to 15 µm and processing materials from FR4, RF substrates, PTFE, polyimide, ceramics to glass, graphene, and ITO-coated glass. LPKF also presents Contac S4 and MultiPress S4 for in-house multilayer production supporting up to eight layers.
Under the LaserMicronics brand, LPKF highlights its contract manufacturing services for laser micromachining – including contactless PCB cutting and precise micro part machining in steel, nickel, molybdenum, or titanium.
Laser plastic welding solutions feature the advanced ATA technology for welding two absorbing materials, while the TherMoPro unit provides non-destructive, thermographic quality control.
LPKF's LIDE® technology (Laser Induced Deep Etching) enables high-precision micromachining of thin glass for semiconductors, displays, and sensors. Available for R&D and high-volume production, it underscores LPKF's innovation leadership.
