The research project "Asset Administration shell for the wiring harness - VWS4LS" pursues the goal of a prototypical implementation of the standardized digital twin (asset administration shell) in the entire value chain of the wiring harness. Different concepts like "Single Point of Truth", "Collaborative Data Models" or "automated negotiation processes" shall be considered. The project is being carried out by a 10-member project consortium, which ranges from the machine manufacturer (Komax and Wezag), to the component manufacturers (Coroplast and KOSTAL), to the assemblers (Dräxlmaier and Kromberg & Schubert) and the software manufacturer (DIiT).
